Audi has revealed pricing and spec for its flagship electric SUV offering, the SQ8 e-tron which will arrive in Australia from quarter two, 2024.

Punching out 370kW/973Nm from its tri-motor drivetrain (one at the front, two in the rear) the SQ8 e-tron can now sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds to an electronically limited top-speed of 210km/h.

The new electric SUV wears a price tag of $173,600 in SUV form, or $180,600 in Sportback form, now sitting above the existing Q8 e-tron 55 Quattro which is priced at $153,900 in SUV form, or $165,900 in Sportback form.

The SQ8 e-tron has an enormous 106kWh battery pack and DC charging capability at up to 170kW for a 10 to 80 per cent charge in a claimed 31 minutes. Range was not revealed for locally delivered cars, but overseas the SQ8 e-tron has up to 471km of driving range for the Sportback, with WLTP-rated energy consumption at 24.4kWh/100km.

Standard equipment includes air suspension, Valcona leather interior, sports seats, the usual fully digital 12.3-inch ‘virtual cockpit’ instrument cluster, a large 10.1-inch multimedia screen paired with wireless phone mirroring, a lower dedicated climate touchscreen measuring 8.6 inches, a 16-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system, quad-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, 22-inch alloy wheels, and LED headlights.

The SQ8 e-tron can also optionally be equipped with the Sensory Package, which adds digital Matrix LED headlights, door entrance LED lights for the front and rear, soft-close doors, heated outboard rear seats, integrated sunshades for the rear windows, extra leather trim on the dashboard, and the ‘air quality package’. Additionally, the e-tron can be fitted with a 22kW AC inverter for buyers who have access to such fast AC power either at home or at a frequently visited location.
