The new entry to the Giulia line-up might be more expensive than before, but the Sport grade is actually based on the more expensive, outgoing Super, with extra equipment thrown in to make it better value.
Like all new Giulia’s the Sport scores touch input for its 8.8-inch multimedia system, wireless smartphone charger, rear privacy glass and more premium-feeling cabin touchpoints, but 19-inch wheels and sports seats are also standard.
Safety tech in the update gets a bump thanks to traffic sign recognition and adaptive cruise control added on top of autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and a reversing camera.
Powering the base Giulia Sport is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine good for 147kW/330Nm, which sends drive to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission for a zero-to-100km/h run in just 6.6 seconds.
