For 2020, Alfa Romeo has dropped the price of its mid-tier Giulia Veloce by $1450, with pricing kicking off from $71,450.
Though the price has come down, the Italian brand has actually added more equipment with a wireless smartphone charger, rear privacy glass and touchscreen support for its 8.8-inch multimedia system now standard.
Safety systems have also been boosted with drive attention alert, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring on top of the carryover autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and reversing camera.
Like the entry level Sport, the Veloce is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, but tuned to 206kW/400Nm, which is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission for a claimed 0-100km/h dash of just 5.8 seconds.
