Australian pricing confirmed: 2024 Porsche Panamera revealed as Stuttgart's luxury sedan rival to Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series and more

Porsche has confirmed starting prices for the entry Panamera and the Turbo E-Hybrid version.

While it looks very much like a mild evolution of the current model, Porsche has dubbed the new 2024 Porsche Panamera as the model's third generation, seven years after the second iteration of the brand's luxury sedan hit the market.

Starting from $227,000 before on-road costs, the Panamera retains options of petrol-only or electrified E-Hybrid variants, the latter starting from $402,300 as the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid.

With the new model revealed today globally, Porsche Australia is already taking orders for the Panamera and says it expects deliveries to commence in the first quarter of 2024.

The now-standard upgraded suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) aims to keep "the body of the Panamera flat at all times, even during dynamic braking, steering and acceleration manoeuvres" and offers "a broader spectrum between dynamic performance and driving comfort".

In terms of drivetrains, the petrol Panamera's turbocharged 2.9-litre V6 engine benefits from adjusted boost pressure, fuel injection flow rate and ignition timing to make 260kW and 500Nm, or 17kW and 50Nm more than the previous model. Porsche says this is good for a 0-100km/h sprint of 5.2 seconds.

The Turbo E-Hybrid, however, adds a 140kW electric motor to its eight-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission to assist the already impressive turbocharged 4.0-litre V8, its total output of 500kW and 930Nm.

0-100km/h is dispatched in 3.2 seconds, Porsche says. On top of that, the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid can be driven in EV mode thanks to a 25.9kWh battery, able to be charged in two hours and 39 minutes, according to Porsche, with its 11kW AC charger.

Standard features for both models are a panoramic roof and tinted privacy glass, front seat ventilation and heating, four-zone automatic climate control, 'Active Parking Support' with a 3D surround-view camera and even soft-close doors.

The petrol Panamera has 14-way comfort seats and gains the E-Hybrid's HD-Matrix LED headlights, 'Comfort Access' keyless entry, head-up display and Bose surround sound system as standard.

Specific to the Turbo E-Hybrid is a set of 21-inch wheels, rear-axle steering, Porsche Torque Vectoring, electric sunblinds for rear side windows, and an air ioniser with carbon fine-dust sensor.
