CarsGuide has published 24 expert reviews of the Audi Q7. It has an average rating of 7.8 out of 10. Read all the reviews here.

The Audi Q7 is available from $108,469 to $127,969 for the 2024 range of models in SUV body types.

The biggest Audi SUV, the Q7, will seat seven people in German luxury, commanding hectares of lane space with its wide, bulging body style. Its 2017 update left the Q7 a diesel-only proposition, with a 3.0-litre engine available with two different power outputs, both of which feed all four wheels via an automatic transmission. It’s built for the city, though - which is where almost every buyer will undoubtedly keep it - which is why its trim levels, ranging from the 45 TDI Quattro Mhev to the 55 Tfsi S Line Quattro Mhev, focus on luxury and refinement over any serious off-road prowess, with a tech-filled cabin and a good on-road manners the regular stand-out features here. Prices range from $108,469 to $127,969.

Audi Q7 FAQs

Audi Q7 2016: Is it worth extending my warranty?

It really depends on whether you feel uncertain about the car. The car is only three years old, it’s in the prime of its life, and really shouldn’t suffer any major meltdowns in the next two years. I wouldn’t buy extra warranty. If you want to buy it thoroughly check what the warranty covers and doesn’t cover.

Audi Q7 2014: Any major problems?

The Q7 is well built and there are no serious issues that affect it, but that’s not to say that there won’t be any. After all any car can have problems and I don’t have a crystal ball that allows me to predict the future.

Best used 7-seat SUV under $30k

Your budget limits you to older models, such as 2008/2009, which will have done 120,000 to 180,000 km. I am loath to recommend buying one of these cars with such a mileage on them; you would be heading the period of pain when you are quite likely to face increasing and expensive repairs. If you were to choose to buy one I would go for the Discovery. I would also urge you to have the car you choose checked over by a specialist mechanic who knows the brand intimately. Instead of the European models you are considering I would suggest you also look at something like the Toyota Kluger, which would likely to be more reliable and less expensive going forward, and your budget would stretch to a later model.
